Course Introduction

E-commerce chaos: Responding in times of crisis

Supercharging your E-commerce strategies in turbulent times

The concept of black swan events was popularized by the writer Nassim Nicholas Taleb, whereby the world is severely affected by events that are rare and difficult to predict. With the advent of COVID-19, we are in the midst of a Black Swan event. Mass quarantines, imposed risk-management measures fundamentally disrupt the way ecommerce is undertaken.

Whilst a time of chaos, this is also an unprecedented opportunity for businesses to redraw their ecommerce blueprints and optimise their operations for long-term success. Companies such as JD.com, Alibaba are all disrupting ‘overnight’ to sustain their business and support the ecommerce ecosystem.

This 5 hour virtual masterclass is designed for business, digital and ecommerce professionals to build to update their digital skill-set so as to react effectively to these tectonic shifts. An intensive session with best practices international case studies from digital giants such as gaming companies and leading consumer brands from South East Asia and beyond.
